The Numbers are out!

The Brazilian Football World Cup is over! The number are simply unbelievable! 

A lot has been said in all media about the Football World Cup in Brazil, some are right some are so wrong that I can only laugh! But finally some number are out and they paint a clear picture about the CUP!

Internet number are just incredible, Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) had more than 110 million apparence amount Facebook and Twitter! Google searches related to the CUP passed the 2 billion! Facebook says that more than 3 billion post ware made related to the CUP! In the final there were more than 88 million people posting more than 280 million interactions! This makes the CUP the most commented sport event ever! As base for comparison, the 2013 Super Bowl had 245 million interactions. Twitter went bizar! At the moment Germany was declared champion, there were 618.725 tweets per minute (TPM).

The numbers in the economic area are also very impressive! R$ 25,8 billion were invested in the CUP by Brazilian Federal Government, this represent just 0.7% of the total Federal Government investment in the period (2010-2014). 600.000 foreigner tourist visited Brazil in the 30 days of the CUP! It is expected that just the tourist from abroad spended R$ 6,7 billion. 3 million Brazilians traveled around the country during the CUP! R$ 143 billion is the expected economic turn around due to the CUP! The government got more R$ 11.0 billion in taxes!

But probably the most important number of all is the presence of Brazil in the global media during 30 days! The 95% of 600K tourist said that the CUP in Brazil was the best ever! They went home and will tell all the great things they experienced in Brazil! This will generate gains to Brazil for years to come!

On the social area, the investments made because of the CUP are and will create impacts for decades to come! Sure the investments were necessary regardless the CUP, but because of the CUP they were made in a faster paste! Airports, highways, Hotels, Hospitals, Urban mobility and many other were done and will be in Brazil helping its development and better living standards in the Brazil.
